Story

Gladys Christiaan Fragrances is a divinely inspired company of a fragrance lover. One who won’t leave their home without wearing perfumes or carrying a bottle of body mist in their handbag. One who loves to smell good, always.

I can still remember my first “real” perfume was a gift from my dearest mom on my 13th birthday. She had noticed prior to that day that I would sneak into her bedroom and spray her precious perfumes on her dresser. So, she felt I needed my own. Dressing up and layering ourselves with perfumes before stepping out of the house became a ritual, a bonding time for both of us so to speak. And every year from when I turned 18 until she passed, we’d gift each other perfumes.

Then out of the blue, I developed severe reactions to wearing perfumes! Faced with the possibility of never having to be "fully-dressed up" ever again, led to extensive research that included people surveys, sourcing alternative natural ingredients for perfume and fragrances production. This process has taken me a little over a year.

What we intend to do with this business is to not only create long-lasting fragrance products, but to make them using natural ingredients that won’t pose any health risks to anyone.

If you’ve ever lost loved ones to terminal illnesses, you’d appreciate life more and take more precautions with the products you put on and into your body. Besides our bodies, our environment is greatly affected by the production process of many of the products we use in our homes. Frankly speaking, we can do better.
